The AI measurement pipeline
From filming to numbers, everything is completed on the device.
Film the face
The area around the face is detected automatically from the camera image and the analysis region is set. Distance and brightness are also checked automatically.
Estimate the pulse wave (AI)
Our in-house AI engine estimates the pulse wave from changes in skin color. It weighs the state of the skin and the filming conditions at that moment, then selects and analyses the information best suited to measurement.
Analyse heart rate variability
Beat-to-beat intervals are extracted from the pulse wave and analysed in both the time and frequency domains, separating sympathetic from parasympathetic activity.
Turn into indicators and advice
The results become a well-condition score and an autonomic index, together with advice on meals and rest.
The video of your face is never sent to a server — the analysis finishes inside the device. Only numerical data leaves it.
What it measures
From biometric indicators through to scores you can use as they are.
Biometric indicators (measured)
- Heart rate: bpm, from the peak-to-peak interval of the pulse wave
- Respiration rate: breaths per minute, from the respiratory component of heart rate variability
- Beat interval (RRI): the interval between beats and its variability
- Autonomic index: the balance between sympathetic and parasympathetic activity, shown on a meter from relaxed to tense
- Total power: total autonomic activity — the reserve of physical energy. Graded A to D, with the change from the previous measurement
Scores (derived from the indicators)
- Well-condition score: an overall score from 0 to 100, in five bands — optimal, good, adjusting, caution, needs care
- Personal baseline: a personal baseline built up over repeated measurements, evaluated separately for morning, afternoon and night
- Advice: nutrients, recommended foods and ways to rest, matched to the current state
What sets it apart from other sensing technologies
Not “what can be measured”, but being able to keep it up and to connect it.
No equipment at all
No smartwatch, no fingertip sensor, no dedicated device. Everything is done with the camera of the phone already in your hand, so there is zero introduction cost — and nothing to forget to wear or to run out of battery.
From rule-based to AI
“Second generation” sensing. Instead of a fixed algorithm, AI decides the best way to measure for the situation. It keeps improving as new findings and data are taken in — sensing that keeps growing.
Accuracy approaching that of a medical device
In measurements on people, a correlation of 90–99% has been confirmed against PPG-based medical devices (pulse oximeters). This level of measurement is achieved without any special equipment.
Analysis stays on the device — the video is never sent
The video of the face is not sent to a server; the analysis finishes inside the device. Only numerical data leaves it, which eases the reluctance people feel about being filmed.
Evaluated against that person’s own normal
Rather than judging by general reference values alone, a personal baseline forms as measurements accumulate. Morning, afternoon and night are taken into account, so the question becomes whether a value is high or low for that person.
It does not stop at measurement — integration with the PHR
Sensing is not a standalone feature: its results accumulate in the same app as actual medical records and checkup results, so day-to-day changes in the autonomic nervous system can be seen alongside medical data.
